The Energy Association of New York State (EA) is a non-profit trade association that represents the State's major energy corporations. The member companies of the EA are comprised of hundreds of thousands of shareholders including a great many individual New Yorkers and retirees. They currently: employ over 28,000 New Yorkers (a substantial portion of them union members); serve over 7 million New York customers and their families and businesses; annually pay over $2.5 billion in state and local taxes; and annually contribute tens of millions of dollars to community and charitable purposes.
